Friends of the Library

National Friends of Libraries Week

Organized in 1984, the Friends of the West Allis Public Library is a non-profit group that supports and enriches the library through fundraising, volunteer efforts, and library advocacy. Many programs and services offered by the library would not be possible without help from our Friends who generously offer their time and talents. Meetings are held four times a year and feature a variety of entertaining programs and speakers. Book Sales and other special Friends-sponsored events are held monthly. See the Library Calendar for upcoming meeting dates.

The Friends are governed by a volunteer Board of Directors:

  • Karen Zahn, President
  • Kurt Kopplin, Vice President
  • Bill Zahn, Treasurer
