Teen events are for patrons ages 12 to 18 or students going into grades 6 through 12 living in Milwaukee County. Visit our online Event Calendar to see and registrar for all our upcoming teen and tween events.

Friday Fun

Teens are you looking for something to do after school? Come hang out with us at the library! We’ll have games, including the Nintendo Switch, coloring sheets, and snacks. All you need to do is show up! Friday Fun is always in the Library Constitution Room from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., and only for those students in grades 6-12. The upcoming dates are:

  •   February 21, 3:30 - 5:30 pm
  •   March 20, 3:30 - 5:30 pm

Random Fandom

Each month we celebrate a different fandom with games, trivia and crafts. You don’t have to be a super fan to join in the fun! These programs are for kids and teens (4th through 12th grade) only. Registration is not required. The event is on Thursdays from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The upcoming dates are:

Life Skills for Teens

Ever wonder what skills they aren’t teaching you in school? Do you ever wish there was a way to learn some simple skills you might need to know as you grow older? Then join us for one or all sessions of our Life Skills for Teens program. Each month we will discuss and have activities based on a skill you might want as you get a bit older. This event is on Thursdays from 6:30 to 8 PM in the Library Constitution Room, and is limited to students in grades 6-12. There is no registration for this free event.

  • January 30, 6:30 - 8 pm: Goal Setting and Journaling
  • February 20, 6:30 - 8 pm: Simple Kitchen Skills
  • March 26, 6:30 - 8 pm: Budgeting, Banking and Saving
  • April 30, 6:30 - 8 pm: Job Searching, Resume Writing and Interviewing

Anime Club

Join us for a hands-on-activity, chat, and viewing of anything ANIME! Recommended for anyone who already loves anime and wants to watch episodes with your library friends! Or if you’re new to anime, have fun with us as we introduce you to all the greats! Most episodes are for a suggested audience of ages 14+. Registration is not necessary. Cosplay encouraged however no weapons please.The event is on Mondays from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. The upcoming dates are:

  • March 9, 6-7 pm: Sword Art Online
  • April 13, 6-7 pm: Yu Yu Hakusho
  • May 11, 6-7 pm: Fairy Tale

Dungeons & Dragons Meet-Up

Whether you are a level 5 bard or a newbie eager to learn, the library will offer an opportunity to band together on quests of epic proportions. This program is only for teens in grades 6-12. Registration is mandatory, please stop in the library, call, or register on our website here.The event is on Saturdays from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The upcoming dates are:

  • April 18, 2 - 3:30 pm
  • May 2, 2 - 3:30 pm

Crafternoon

Join us once a month to create something you get to take home. Registration is required to make sure we have enough supplies but there is no limit. Please stop in the library, call, or register on our website here.The event is on Fridays from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. The upcoming dates are:
