Teen Events

Teen events are for patrons ages 12 to 18 or students going into grades 6 through 12 living in Milwaukee County. No registration necessary. Visit our online Event Calendar to see all our upcoming teen and tween events.

Teen Writers Camp

Join us for an informal writing camp this summer. You can come to one or all 5 of the sessions and work on whatever you love to write most. We'll provide prompts, activities, and even time to share. Writers Camp is for teens going into grades 6-12 and takes place from 2 to 3 p.m. in the Library Constitution Room. The upcoming dates are:

  • July 18, 25, August 1,8, and 15 from 2 to 3 p.m.

Friday Fun

Teens are you looking for something to do after school? Come hang out with us at the library! We'll have games, including the Nintendo Switch, coloring sheets, and snacks. All you need to do is show up! Friday Fun is always in the Library Constitution Room from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., and only for those students in grades 6-12. The upcoming dates are:

  •  July 26 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
  •  August 23 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.

Random Fandom

Each month we celebrate a different fandom with games, trivia and crafts. You don't have to be a super fan to join in the fun! These programs are for kids and teens (4th through 12th grade) only. Registration is not required. The event is on Thursdays from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The upcoming dates are:

  • July 18 at 6:30 p.m.: Anime: Studio Ghibli Movies
  • August 29 at 6:30 p.m.: Star Wars vs Star Trek
