Teen Advisory Board (Informational Meeting)

December 1st & January 10th, 7:00-8:00 PM. We are starting a Teen Advisory Board at the West Allis Public Library! Students in grades 7-12 are invited to join us for an informational meeting to decide if the Teen Advisory Board is right for you! Light refreshments will be served as we discuss the perks of being on the board. Find more info on our teen services page.

Duel & Dice

Meet in the Children's Storytime Room upstairs! There is no registration but it will be first come, first play. We might play Dungeons & Dragons, Munchkins or even Magis the Gathering! Come prepared to join in on some nerdy fun! This program is for teens ages 13-18. If you are a teen interested in being the Dungeon Master, please contact us on Discord or email

Anime Club

Join us to watch anime favorites and discuss the manga you are reading. Most episodes are for a suggested audience of ages 14+. Registration is not necessary.

Friday Fun

Friday Fun is our monthly Teens Only program where teens hang out at the library. We put out games, including the Nintendo Switch, as well as some snacks and coloring sheets. Teens in grades 6-12 are welcome to hang out for some or all of the time.

Teen Art Club

Do you need an artistic outlet? Then join us for Teen Art Club! Each month, we will work on a collaborative art project, or you can work on a project of your own!

Night of Hot Cocoa and Chocolate

December 15th, 7:00-8:00PM. Stop in the library and make some fancy hot cocoa and then taste different kinds of chocolate to find out the best!   

Edible Slime

February 16th, 7:00-8:00PM. Have you ever thought slime looked good enough to eat? Then join us for an evening of edible slime! We will try 3 different recipes, and then vote on our favorite!

Winter Reading

December 26th-March 4th. Sign up at or pick up a log at the library and list the titles of the books you've read. Earn prizes and enteries into our grand prize drawing. Write book reviews to earn extra entries! Reading prizes will be available beginning January 9th-March 4th.

100 Books Before Graduation

Challenge yourself and read 100 books before you finish high school! Sign up at or pick up a log at the library and list the titles of the books you've read. Be sure to stop in the library for prizes after reading 25, 50, 75 and 100.

Teen Lit Loot

December 15th & February 15th. Sign up is on the first of the month. Lit Loot is the library’s subscription box for teens in grades 8–12. Each FREE Lit Loot box is full of treats, surprises, and a hand picked library book, just for you. Pick up your Lit Loot box, enjoy, and return the book and the box—you keep the LOOT! You must have a library card in good standing to check out your kit!  Priority will be given to teens that have not yet had the opportunity to enjoy Lit Loot.
